Tuesday, October 28 is the last day to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot in Pennsylvania for next week’s election.<\/p>\n
You can apply in person, on line or by mail, but your application has to be in by 5 p.m. on that day.<\/p>\n
On Monday, Philadelphia election officials called on city voters to turn around the embarrassing trend of low turnout.<\/p>\n
Officials say already 100,000 ballots have been requested by mail, but tradition shows thousands will not be returned.<\/p>\n
They reminded voters they can visit a satellite location if they have damaged their mail in or absentee ballot and need a replacement.<\/p>\n
Also voters should make sure they put that ballot into the yellow secrecy envelope and then into the return envelope, which needs to be signed and dated.<\/p>\n
If you mess up the three part process, you can head to a satellite office to get some help.<\/p>\n
If you vote mail in or absentee ballot, it has to be in by 8 p.m. on Election night.<\/p>\n
When you go to drop off your mail in or absentee ballot in the city, you will see that the dropbox has a special paint job. It’ll be green – as in Eagles green!<\/p>\n
In addition to mail-in or absentee, you can also vote in person at your local polling spot on November 4.<\/p>\n
