NOW THE WGAL NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST WITH METEOROLOGIST RYAN ARGENTINE. STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK. WE HAVE SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS ALREADY BEGINNING TO MOVE INTO THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY, MAINLY FOR OUR WESTERN COMMUNITIES. LET’S ZOOM IN TO SOME OF THESE COMMUNITIES, ESPECIALLY CLOSER TOWARDS FRANKLIN, WHERE YOU CAN SEE TOWARDS NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE VIEWING AREA. GOT SOME LIGHTER SHOWERS, ALSO SOME MODERATE POCKETS OF SOME SHOWERS AND THEN MODERATE SHOWERS TOWARDS FRANKLIN COUNTY TOO, TOWARDS ADAMS COUNTY STARTING TO MOVE IN. WE’RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO SEE THOSE SCATTERED SHOWER CHANCES INTO EARLY SUNDAY, BUT THEN WE’LL SEE THOSE SHOWERS TAPER BY THE TIME WE GET TO THE EARLY AFTERNOON. NOW FOR MONDAY, WE DO HAVE A FREEZE WATCH THAT’S GOING TO BE GOING INTO EFFECT FROM 12 A.M. TUESDAY TO 9 A.M. TUESDAY. SO JUST KEEP THAT IN MIND IF YOU ARE. IF YOU’VE ALREADY GOTTEN A HEAD START ON YOUR OUTDOOR LANDSCAPING, YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION TO THIS FORECAST HERE AS WE TALK ABOUT MONDAY NIGHT. THEN FOR MIDDLE OF THE WEEK, WE DO START TO SEE WARMING TEMPERATURES, BUT WE’LL BE BACK TO THE 70S BY THE TIME WE GET TO THURSDAY AND FRIDAY OF THE UPCOMING WORKWEEK. BUT TEMPERATURES TODAY HIT A HIGH OF 75 DEGREES AT HARRISBURG INTERNATIONAL, TEN DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. USUALLY WE EXPECT THE MID 60S FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR IN APRIL, BUT YOU SEE NORMAL AVERAGE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR, RIGHT AROUND 4354 WAS EARLIER THIS MORNING’S LOW. NO RAINFALL RECORDED AT HARRISBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. SO WE’LL CONTINUE TO SEE SCATTERED SHOWERS OVERNIGHT. BREEZY AND STILL MILD, 48 DEGREES OVERNIGHT AND ALSO FOR TOMORROW MORNING. STILL LOOKING AT THOSE SCATTERED SHOWER CHANCES. STILL CHILLY AND BREEZY TOMORROW AFTERNOON. RAIN EARLY FOR THE EARLY AFTERNOON AND THEN WE’LL START TO SEE SKIES BEGIN TO CLEAR. ONCE WE GET TO CLOSER. ABOUT 4 OR 5:00 IN THE AFTERNOON. SLASH EVENING TEMPERATURES WILL BE RIGHT INTO THE LOWER 50S NOW. WEATHER AND HEALTH FOR THE DAY TOMORROW. POLLEN LEVELS ARE GOING TO BE VERY HIGH, ESPECIALLY FOR THE TREES. MOLD LEVELS ARE LOW. AIR QUALITY IS GOOD. LOW LOW UV INDEX GOT ABOUT A 50 MINUTE BURN TIME FOR THE AFTERNOON. BUT IN TERMS OF THE NEXT RAIN CHANCE, THAT’S GOING TO BE OUR WEDNESDAY. SO WE’LL SEE THOSE MORNING SHOWER CHANCES FOR TOMORROW, MONDAY AND TUESDAY LOOKING DRY. AND IT’S A VERY IT’S VERY ISOLATED CHANCE OF SOME SHOWERS IS WHAT I WOULD SAY IN TERMS OF OUR WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. SOMETHING THAT WE’RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO TRACK AS WE GET INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. BUT YOU CAN SEE TEMPERATURES ALREADY STARTING TO LOWER THROUGH THE LOWER 60S, MID 50S IN LANCASTER AT THIS TIME, 64 IN LEWISTOWN. AND YOU CAN SEE THOSE SHOWERS REALLY MOVING THROUGH. THERE’S THAT THE MODERATE POCKETS OF SHOWERS COMING IN ON FRANKLIN AND ADAMS COUNTY. A LITTLE BIT HEAVIER IN NATURE TOWARDS PORTIONS OF FAR NORTHWESTERN COMMUNITIES IN ADAMS COUNTY. BUT WE’RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO SEE THOSE SCATTERED SHOWERS AS WE GO THROUGH THE REST OF THE NIGHT. TONIGHT YOU CAN SEE THAT COLD FRONT PUSHING THROUGH. BY THE TIME WE GET TO SUNDAY MORNING. STILL LOOKING AT SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS. SO IF YOU HAVE SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES, BY THE WAY, IT’S GOING TO BE A BIT OF A WET START. I WOULD JUST TAKE YOUR TIME, GIVE YOURSELF SOME EXTRA TIME. IF YOU’RE HEADED TO THE CHURCH OR JUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU’RE JUST TAKE IT EASY FOR TOMORROW MORNING. BUT THEN ONCE WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON AND THE EVENING, IF YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR THE EVENING, IT IS LOOKING LIKE WE’LL START TO CLEAR UP. WE’LL SEE SOME SOME CLEARING SKIES NOW, STILL A LITTLE BIT WET, BUT CERTAINLY GOING TO BE BREEZY AND COOLER OUT THERE. WE’RE GOING TO SEE WINDS GETTING INTO THE 10 TO 20 MILE PER HOUR RANGE. AND WE’LL SEE THOSE WINDS OUT OF THE NORTHWEST. THEN ONCE WE GET INTO OUR MONDAY AFTERNOON YOU CAN SEE HIGH PRESSURE STARTS TO INFILTRATE ITS WAY INTO THE VALLEY. BUT HERE’S WHAT I WANT TO TALK ABOUT. LOOK AT THIS. THIS IS FOR OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO TUESDAY MORNING. TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO BE GETTING INTO THE UPPER 20S LOWER 30S FOR MOST AREAS, BUT THAT’S GOING TO BE AT AND BELOW FREEZING, WHICH IS GOING TO BE ALLOWING FOR A POTENTIAL FREEZE TO HAPPEN ACROSS THE AREA. SO THAT’S WHY WE HAVE THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ISSUING A FREEZE WATCH FROM 12 A.M. TUESDAY TO 9 A.M. TUESDAY. AGAIN, JUST THE PRECAUTIONS THAT YOU NEED TO TAKE COVER ANY SENSITIVE PLANTS, CROPS AND VEGETATION. IF YOU HAVE POTTED PLANTS, YOU’RE GOING TO WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU BRING THOSE INSIDE. AS WE HEAD INTO OUR MONDAY NIGHT. BUT LOOK AT THIS. TEMPERATURES DO BEGIN TO MODERATE ONCE AGAIN AS WE HEAD INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. 68 FOR WEDNESDAY,

Scattered showers tonight into tomorrow AM; cool down coming for south-central Pennsylvania

A cold front moving in tonight will bring much cooler air for Sunday.
