The race aims to raise awareness and funds for life-saving research after the loss of Jude, who lost his life to ‘sudden infant death syndrome.’ <\/p>\n

DUNMORE, Pa. \u2014 Runners took off today in Lackawanna County<\/a> to honor the life of a baby boy.<\/p>\n

Community members came out for the ‘Jog for Jude’ 5k taking off at the Dunmore Community Center along Monroe Avenue in Dunmore.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The event honors Jude, who tragically lost his life to ‘sudden infant death syndrome’ also known as ‘SIDS’.<\/p>\n

The race aims to raise awareness and funds for life-saving research.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“So my daughter, my youngest, when she was 9 months old, she passed away, so we do the walk as often every year that we can in honor of her,\u201d said Rachel Lloyd from Wilkes-Barre. \u201cIt makes me happy that they’re able to do this and that they’re able to raise so much money to try to stomp out SIDS, you know, try to fight it and find out why so many people have unfortunately lost their kids to this.”\u00a0<\/p>\n
