All passengers and crew were evacuated safely from United Airlines Flight 2092, which was forced to divert to Pittsburgh International Airport on Saturday, April 18, due to what the FBI has described as a \u201creported threat aboard an aircraft.\u201d<\/p>\n

The flight was en route from Chicago O\u2019Hare to New York\u2019s LaGuardia Airport on Saturday morning before the crew made the decision to divert to Pittsburgh shortly before noon. According to tracking data from flightaware.com<\/a>, the plane took off from Chicago at 10:54 a.m. and landed in Pittsburgh shortly after noon.<\/p>\n

According to a recording of cockpit conversations from LiveATC.net<\/a>, the crew heard a \u201csequential beeping\u201d noise from a \u201csuspected item aboard.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to have to start treating it as a potential bomb,\u201d one of the pilots can be heard saying on the recording. \u201cIt\u2019s a beeping noise, sequential, one beep per second.\u201d<\/p>\n

FBI Pittsburgh is expected to provide further updates \u201cas appropriate due to the ongoing nature of this investigation,\u201d according to Bradford Arick, spokesman for the FBI\u2019s Pittsburgh office on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cFBI Pittsburgh is aware of a reported threat onboard a flight headed to New York,\u201d Arick said. \u201cThe plane was diverted and landed at Pittsburgh International Airport.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll passengers and crew safely evacuated the aircraft. FBI Special Agent Bomb Techs and Special Agents are on the ground coordinating with local authorities.\u201d<\/p>\n
