An Alsace Township man died in Reading Hospital shortly after he was struck by a branch while felling a tree on his property over the weekend, Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel said Monday.<\/p>\n
Sherwood Brubaker, 76, was pronounced dead at 1:45 p.m. Saturday by an emergency department physician in Reading Hospital.<\/p>\n
He died of head injuries and the death was ruled accidental, Stitzel said.<\/p>\n
Brubaker was cutting a tree in the first block of Wanshop Road early Saturday afternoon when a branch broke off near the top of the tree and struck him, the coroner said.<\/p>\n
