After helping guide Philadelphia Union to its first clean sheet of the season, defender Olwethu Makhanya has earned Team of the Matchday honors.<\/p>\n
The South African center back led the team with eight clearances and had five registered recoveries during the match against rivals D.C. United on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
Makhanya and the rest of the Union defense were dominant on their side of the pitch, not allowing a single shot on target during the latest chapter of the I-95 rivalry between the Boys in Blue and D.C. United.<\/p>\n
