On May 7 A.B.A.T.E in Erie will be hosting a public event in hopes to raise awareness for motorcycle riders. The event will be held at South Erie Turners.<\/p>\n
The event begins at 6 p.m. Attendees can bring flyers to network and gather with other attendees. An informational video will be played to bring attention to motorcycle awareness month.<\/p>\n
On May 16 Mayor Daria Devlin will switch from wearing blazers to wearing helmets and leather as she participates in the Harley\u2019s & Hot Rods Cruise-In and the 32nd Annual Jeremy Grant A.B.A.T.E Awareness Ride.<\/p>\n
The event kicks off at 11:30 a.m. where riders can register at Soldiers & Sailors Home. At 12:30 p.m. Mayor Devlin and Pennsylvania State Representative Jake Banta will give a presentation. By 1 p.m. riders will lift their kickstands with the expectation that they will reach Harley-Davidson of Erie at 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
At Soldiers & Sailors Home where the event begins, donations, pins, and flags will be distributed to residents. Attendees will be given pins and flags to show their support.<\/p>\n
Awards, community recognition and the Mayor\u2019s Award will be distributed once all riders have reached Harley-Davidson of Erie.<\/p>\n
