Erie residents are raising concerns after spotting a deer trapped in an enclosed property in the City of Erie for months.<\/p>\n

We visited the property ourselves on Monday. The deer was difficult to find but appeared to be stuck inside the fencing.<\/p>\n

This is a property located in the City of Erie between Raspberry and Cascade streets near West 16th Street.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s fenced completely in and according to the city, it\u2019s owned by a Massachusetts-based company called \u2018Babcock Borsig Power Incorporated\u2019 that closed their Erie location.<\/p>\n

Trapped inside of the property is this deer, pictured below, that has been noticed by Erie resident Rick Ross and his wife for more than three months.<\/p>\n

Ross described it as a \u2018small, skinny\u2019 doe that doesn\u2019t look like it\u2019s receiving any food except for the brush on the property.<\/p>\n

Ross says he\u2019s called the Pennsylvania Game Commission and they don\u2019t plan on helping the deer.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey said, \u2018 Is it mobile?\u2019 I said yeah, it\u2019s mobile. It\u2019s walking around, but really it\u2019s starving to death, so they won\u2019t do anything,\u201d he explained. \u201cI just hope somebody just at least opens the gate and lets the poor thing out and let it see if it can find its way down to the peninsula or some wooded area where he can find shelter at least.\u201d<\/p>\n

We called the PA Game Commission to confirm this information or see if they have received any other complaints, but they have not yet gotten back to us.<\/p>\n
