ALLENTOWN, Pa. – An Allentown radio host is hitting the open road for a cause.<\/p>\n
Victor Martinez from Mega 101.7 FM has set off on a 15-day cross-country motorcycle ride to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.<\/p>\n
His journey began Saturday morning with a send-off event at Bennett Toyota in Allentown.<\/p>\n
Martinez’s first major stop: Memphis, Tennessee – where he’ll visit St. Jude before continuing on to California and back.<\/p>\n
“I have been working with St. Jude’s for the last 20 years, and I even have the St Jude’s logo tattooed on my arm. So to celebrate the 20 years that I have been with St Jude’s, we decided we wanted to do something big, something different. So we got this great idea. I will get my motorcycle and I will drive from Allentown to St Jude, Memphis, then from there to California and back,” Martinez said.<\/p>\n
