WILKES-BARRE \u2014 A 17-year-old boy from Scranton was arraigned Monday night on charges he robbed another person at gunpoint in the Sherman Hills apartment complex.<\/p>\n
Caleb Shovlin, of Harrison Avenue, and another unknown male were in the apartment complex when they are approached by another group Sunday night.<\/p>\n
The victim told police he allowed Shovlin to try on a sweatshirt when the victim was struck in the back of the head with a firearm and robbed of personal items, according to court records.<\/p>\n
Police identified Shovlin as one of the suspects from surveillance footage, court records say.<\/p>\n
Shovlin was located at a relative\u2019s residence on Matson Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, where a search warrant was executed.<\/p>\n
During the search of the Matson Avenue residence, court records allege, police say they found the sweatshirt and other items stolen from the victim in a backpack.<\/p>\n
Shovlin was arraigned as an adult before Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge David W. Lupas on charges of robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, and two counts of criminal conspiracy. Shovlin was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $200,000 bail. <\/p>\n
