<\/p>\n(WHTM) \u2014 As the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh approaches, Pennsylvania State Police unveiled a new state-of-the-art 100-foot-tall radio tower that will greatly help first responders.<\/p>\n
The P25 LMR-COW mobile radio tower is mounted on a towable trailer that State Police said offers rapidly deployable, interoperable communications capabilities that will strengthen coordination among first responders while the usual systems are overwhelmed.<\/p>\n

Our P25 LMR-COW platform, which represents a significant advancement in public safety and operational readiness, will play a critical role in connecting law enforcement agencies at the federal, state, and local levels, so we can work together to ensure that everyone can enjoy the three-day event safely,\u201d Director of the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Communications and Information Services Major George Ritchey said. \u201cThis capability allows us to extend our communications reach wherever it\u2019s most needed, ensuring our members have the communication tools necessary, regardless of location and terrain.\u201d<\/p>\n
