JUST A BEAUTIFUL LOOK OUT THERE OVER WELLSPAN PARK IN YORK. YOU CAN SEE WE HAVE LOTS OF BLUE SKIES. BUT THERE IN THE DISTANCE, A FEW HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS MOVING ON IN. I THINK THOSE CLOUDS ARE NON-THREATENING. WE’LL JUST HAVE MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES TO START THE GAME, BUT MORE CLOUDS ARE DUE IN AS WE GO THROUGH LATE THIS EVENING. THAT’S A SIGN OF CHANGE. AND WHAT WE’RE TALKING ABOUT IS THE CHANCES FOR SOME SHOWERS AT TIMES TOMORROW. BEST CHANCE FOR THOSE WILL BE IN THE MORNING AND AGAIN DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON. IT’S ALSO GOING TO BE A WARMER DAY TOMORROW WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 60S. IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR THAT EARLY SUMMER LIKE WARMTH, THAT WILL BE AROUND THE END OF THIS WORKWEEK. WE’RE TALKING HIGHS IN THE MID 70S FOR THURSDAY ON INTO FRIDAY, BUT TEMPERATURES WILL DROP AS RAIN CHANCES REALLY GO UP FOR THE WEEKEND. LOOKS LIKE THE WETTEST DAY IS GOING TO BE ON SATURDAY. JUST SOME SPOTTY SHOWERS AT TIMES ON SUNDAY, BUT YOU CAN SEE THOSE HIGH LEVEL CLOUDS ARE OUT THERE OVER DOWNTOWN LANCASTER RIGHT NOW AT 54 DEGREES, WITH JUST A GENTLE BREEZE OUT OF THE NORTHWEST AT EIGHT MILES PER HOUR. THAT’S A LITTLE BIT OF AN IMPROVEMENT COMPARED TO YESTERDAY, BUT IT’S STILL CHILLY FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. SO ON LIVE LOCAL RADAR, WE ARE QUIET ON THE STORM TEAM LIGHT RADAR NETWORK. WE ARE TRACKING SOME SHOWERS BACK TOWARDS ERIE, BUT WE WILL LIKELY STAY DRY UNTIL WELL LATE TONIGHT, SO TEMPERATURES WILL JUST FALL THROUGH THE LOWER 50S AS WE GO THROUGH THIS EVENING. LOWS TONIGHT WILL BE WARMER THAN LAST NIGHT BY ABOUT 20 SOME DEGREES. JUST LOOK FOR SOME SPOTTY SHOWERS TO START POPPING UP AS WE GET CLOSER TO DAWN. AND THEN WE’LL HAVE SOME SHOWERS IN THE MORNING. SHOULD SEE LOTS OF SUNSHINE. BREAK OUT THROUGH THE CLOUDS DURING THE AFTERNOON. JUST SOME SPOTTY SHOWERS AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE EVENING RUSH AND DINNER TIME, BUT IT IS GOING TO BE A WARMER DAY, WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 60S TO NEAR 70 DEGREES. THIS MORNING DROPPED ALL THE WAY TO 29. THE OLD RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 30. IN. SOME SPOTS WERE EVEN COLDER. MARYSVILLE, PERRY COUNTY DOWN TO 23 DEGREES JUNIATA COUNTY MIFFLIN TOWNSHIP AT 24 DEGREES TO START THIS MORNING. MANNHEIM YOU ARE AT 24 DEGREES. GETTYSBURG STARTED THE DAY OFF AT 25. INCREDIBLY CHILLY FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. SO FOR TOMORROW WE’LL HAVE SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS DRYING OUT FOR THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY. BUT THEN YEAH, THOSE SHOWERS WILL BE AROUND FOR YOUR SATURDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL BE COOLER. ONCE AGAIN, WE’RE BACK INTO THE 50S LOWER 60S EXPECTED FOR YOUR SUNDAY. WINDS ARE RELATIVELY LIGHT. THEY WERE WHIPPING AT TIMES YESTERDAY, GUSTING GREATER THAN 20MPH. HERE’S A LOOK AT THE TEMPERATURE OF 58. RIGHT NOW IN 11 YOU CAN SEE THAT WARMER AIR, MORE SEASONABLE AIR OFF TO OUR WEST AND MORE SUMMERLIKE AIR THE FARTHER WEST YOU GO OUT INTO THE OPEN PLAINS. SO IT’S A WEAK STORM SYSTEM COMING IN FROM THE GREAT LAKES REGION. FIRST, THE WARM FRONT WILL MOVE OVERHEAD AND EVENTUALLY THE COLD FRONT WILL FOLLOW LATER IN THE DAY. SO WATCH WHAT HAPPENS HERE ON THE. YOU CAN SEE AS WE GO INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS, WE’LL TRACK SOME SHOWERS COMING IN FROM THE NORTHWEST, BUT THEY’RE GOING TO RUN INTO THE DRIER AIR. SO IT’S BEFORE DAWN. THE BEST CHANCE FOR SOME SPOTTY SHOWERS TOMORROW. AND THEN THE COLD FRONT MOVES IN AS WE GET CLOSER TO DINNER TIME. THAT COULD TRIGGER SOME ISOLATED SHOWERS. RAINFALL LOOKS TO BE RELATIVELY LIGHT IN INTENSITY. THEN, EVEN THOUGH THE COLD FRONT MOVES ON BY, TEMPERATURES WILL CLIMB FOR YOUR THURSDAY. WE’RE BACK INTO THE MID 70S, LIKELY IN THE MID 70S AS WELL FOR YOUR FRIDAY. IT’S. ONCE THE SUN GOES DOWN ON FRIDAY, THE SHOWER CHANCES WILL START TO RISE. BEST CHANCE FOR RAIN UNFORTUNATELY IS GOING TO BE AROUND ON SATURDAY MORNING. SO THE RACE AGAINST RACISM LIKELY DEALING WITH THAT RAIN OUT THERE. AND THEN WE’LL KEEP THE CHANCES FOR SOME HIT OR MISS SHOWERS GOING THROUGHOUT MUCH OF OUR SATURDAY. ISOLATED SHOWE

Wednesday showers, temperatures return to the 60s for south-central Pennsylvania

Temperatures are back to average Wednesday then jump to the 70s the last two days of the week.

   Updated: 4:54 PM EDT Apr 21, 2026

  Editorial Standards ⓘ

Clouds will increase late evening ahead of an approaching warm front. Temperatures will fall through the 50s. It won’t be near as cold tonight with lows in the mid 40s. Scattered showers develop late. A few showers are possible with the front early, then there is an isolated chance in the afternoon as a weak cold front will sweep across the area. Rain amounts are light and less than 0.05″. Highs are more seasonable in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. The weekend starts wet with rain at times on Saturday. It is much cooler in the upper 50s.
