Supporters say too many deer are causing garden damage, more vehicle crashes and even raising some health concerns. “Tick populations are exploding because deer serve as primary hosts and transporters. Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses are now reported in all 67 Pennsylvania counties, invading our backyards, parks and playgrounds,” said State Representative Jill Cooper. That same committee also moved forward on two other bills. One bill would modernize big game tagging with digital options while also keeping physical tags and another would create a mentored trapping program for Pennsylvania’s youth.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
