BETHLEHEM, Pa. \u2013 Bethlehem City Council on Tuesday approved a grant application to support planning efforts at three city parks and adopted changes to its liquor license transfer process.<\/p>\n

Council voted to back the city\u2019s application to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources<\/a> for up to $250,000 through the Community Conservation Partnerships Program.<\/p>\n

If awarded, the funding would be used to develop plans for Sand Island, Saucon Park and Monocacy Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a really exciting opportunity for us,\u201d said Mayor J. William Reynolds.<\/p>\n

Council also approved changes to its liquor license transfer process<\/a>. The amendment increases the application fee from $200 to $500 to cover advertising and administrative costs.<\/p>\n
