A Philadelphia man pleaded guilty to several charges in connection with four robberies targeting Brinks armored trucks in 2025.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, April 22, Dante Shackleford, 26, entered a guilty plea on one count of Hobbs Act robbery, three counts of attempted Hobbs Act robbery and one count of carrying, using and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.<\/p>\n
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Shackleford was charged by superseding indictment in January, along with 24-year-old Mujahid Davis, who is also from Philadelphia.<\/a><\/p>\n Officials said Shackleford, along with Davis and others, participated in four crimes involving Brinks armored trucks. <\/p>\n In July 2025, the offenders attempted to rob a Brinks truck on two separate occasions. The first robbery attempt happened on July 15 in Philadelphia, and the second happened on July 22 in Elkins Park.<\/p>\n Then, in August 2025, Shackleford and others robbed a Brinks truck in Elkins Park, according to prosecutors.<\/p>\n In October 2025, they attempted to rob another Brinks truck in Philadelphia, officials said.<\/p>\n Shackleford is set to be sentenced on August 11, and faces a maximum possible term of life in prison, with a mandatory minimum of seven years behind bars, a five-year term of supervised released and a $1,500,000 fine.<\/p>\n
