The Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> are on the brink of elimination.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh suffered a 5-2 road loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday to go down 3-0 in its first-round playoff series. It\u2019s a disappointing result so far for the Penguins, who entered the series with home ice and plenty of confidence.<\/p>\n

Although the Penguins haven\u2019t played well in the series, Pittsburgh won\u2019t roll over. Instead, the team has confidence they can win four straight games, as the group believes they have what it takes to pull off an epic comeback.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know it’s possible,\u201d goalie Stuart Skinner said postgame<\/a> on Wednesday. \u201cYou know, statistics are fun to look at. But doesn’t mean they’re always right. What really helped me in my experience was it kind of just frees you up. You don’t really have anything to lose.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got the bodies in here. We got a resilient group. I can say that over and over and over again, but we’ve proven it, we’ve shown it. This is the group that can definitely come back from this deficit. I certainly believe that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Penguins were led by Evgeni Malkin and Erik Karlsson, who scored in the 5-2 loss. Despite being down 3-0, Karlsson said all the team can do<\/a> is take it one game at a time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’re going to have to embrace and understand that being in this situation, even though we’re down 3-0, is still a lot of fun, and we would have paid a lot of money to stand here today back in October and say this is where we were going to be,\u201d Karlsson said. \u201cWe’ve just got to realize that an understand that we’re a good hockey team here. We’ve got a great opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Game 4 between the Penguins and Flyers is set for Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
