You\u2019ve heard her at the club, on the runway, and in moody TikToks everywhere. Eartheater, who defined a generation of New York alt-pop, may have traded the concrete jungle for motherhood<\/a> and a Pennsylvania farm<\/a>, but that\u2019s not stopping her from hitting the road with FKA twigs on her 2026 U.S. tour or finalizing her much-anticipated sixth album.<\/p>\n What question do you ask yourself most often while you\u2019re making work?<\/p>\n Will I be able to sing these lyrics for the rest of my life and still feel it in my heart?<\/p>\n Where do you feel most at home?<\/p>\n In front of a microphone, in a saddle, handling crises, kissing my man, being resourceful and problem solving, Delta 1 seat 1A, or sitting in the living room right where I was born watching a hot pink sunrise.<\/p>\n When\u2019s the last time you laughed hysterically?<\/p>\n In tour rehearsal today when my key player updated the voice that gives cues in my ear monitors to sound like Lord Farquaad.<\/p>\n What are you looking forward to this year?\u00a0<\/p>\n I\u2019m looking forward to filming music videos and hiking the album campaign mountain and then hang gliding off of it the day it comes out. I can\u2019t wait for that fleeting moment of stillness and peace I feel right after releasing an album. I\u2019m looking forward to planting a willow tree by my pond and painting my house. I can\u2019t wait to learn how to tour gracefully with a baby. Most of all, I\u2019m excited to watch my daughter take her first steps and say her first words.<\/p>\n What\u2019s one work of art that got you through an important moment in your life?<\/p>\n The one book that comes to mind in this moment is The Tao of Detox\u2014a practical guide to preventing and treating the toxic assault on our bodies. For a good chunk of the last decade, I lived a pretty debaucherous life, so this book was very useful in helping me embrace fasting and healing in a balanced way.<\/p>\n What\u2019s something people get wrong about you?<\/p>\n Lots of people think I\u2019m trans and sometimes people have told me [this] to try to insult me, but I always take it as a compliment as trans women are the most beautiful.\u00a0<\/p>\n What\u2019s your biggest vice? Your greatest virtue?<\/p>\n Many a vice used to hate to see me coming, but as soon as I got pregnant, it\u2019s like the fairy godmother in Cinderella tapped her wand on my head and that sparkly ring dropped down my body and left me light as a feather and every hankering lonely and forgotten.<\/p>\n What would you wear to meet your greatest enemy?<\/p>\n
