I MEAN, SOME OF THOSE FLAMES ARE JUST UNBELIEVABLE. SO WE WANT TO BRING IN METEOROLOGIST BRIAN CHESKY TO TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER. YEAH. RYAN. TERRIFYING SIGHT TO SEE. THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY TWO HAS BEEN DEALING WITH THE DROUGHT. YEAH. WE ARE ACTUALLY SEEING A BIT OF A MODERATE DROUGHT SITUATION DEVELOP ACROSS THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY TOO. SO LOCALLY, LET ME SHOW YOU. THIS IS THE DROUGHT MONITOR FROM LAST WEEK. SO WE\u2019RE SEEING A MODERATE DROUGHT ACROSS THE MAJORITY OF THE AREA HAD SOME ABNORMALLY DRY CONDITIONS FOR FAR NORTHWESTERN COMMUNITIES. A LITTLE BIT OF A OF A SEVERE DROUGHT DEVELOPING OVER FRANKLIN COUNTY. ALTHOUGH UNFORTUNATELY, I\u2019M GOING TO SHOW YOU THE DROUGHT MONITOR FOR THIS WEEK THAT WE JUST GOT EARLIER THIS MORNING. THIS IS WHAT WE\u2019RE SEEING RIGHT NOW. WE DID JUST HAVE THIS UPGRADE OR THE DROUGHT WAS, IS, IS ACTUALLY GETTING WORSE. UNFORTUNATELY, ESPECIALLY TOWARDS OUR FAR SOUTHEASTERN COMMUNITIES. YOU CAN SEE LANCASTER COUNTY, THE MAJORITY OF THE COUNTY OUTLINED IN THIS SEVERE DROUGHT, ALSO STRETCHING INTO PORTIONS OF THE DELAWARE VALLEY INTO BERKS COUNTY, ALSO GETTING THE CHESTER COUNTY. BUT YOU CAN SEE ALSO TOWARDS OUR FAR SOUTHEASTERN PORTIONS OF YORK COUNTY GETTING A LITTLE BIT OF THAT SEVERE DROUGHT SITUATION, ALONG WITH PORTIONS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY STILL AT THIS TIME. SO WE ARE WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF SOME RAIN. THE ENTIRE AREA NEEDS SOME NEEDS, SOME RAIN FOR SURE. WE ARE STILL ABOUT -1.44IN OF RAIN BELOW AVERAGE FOR THE MONTH TO DATE. ONLY HAD ABOUT JUST OVER AN INCH OF RAIN SO FAR. FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL AND SEASON TO DATE. JUST A LITTLE BIT BELOW HALF AN INCH OF SOME RAIN, SO STILL GOT A BIT OF A DEFICIT TO FULFILL AS WE HEAD INTO THE SEASON. NOW, WHAT ELSE ARE WE TRACKING? WE ARE TRACKING SOME SHOWERS. SO THAT IS THE GOOD NEWS AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND ESPECIALLY, IT WILL BE A BIT OF A WET START, DRIER END. AND THEN FOR NEXT WEEK WE\u2019RE GOING TO BE SEEING RAIN AT TIMES, BUT THE BEST CHANCE FOR SHOWERS IS GOING TO BE TUESDAY. SO LET\u2019S CHAT ABOUT THAT HERE. SO FOR THIS EVENING EXPECT MOSTLY SUNNY CONDITIONS TO PERSIST ALONG WITH WARM AND PLEASANT CONDITIONS INTO THE INTO THE 70S, I SHOULD SAY THE LOWER 70S AS WE GET INTO LATER ON IN THE EVENING. AND THEN WE\u2019LL BOTTOM OUT IN THE LOWER 50S FOR OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, PARTLY CLOUDY CONDITIONS, STILL MILD FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. AND THEN WE\u2019LL GO BACK TO THE 70S LOWER 70S. AS A MATTER OF FACT, FOR TOMORROW AFTERNOON WITH A FEW AFTERNOON EVENING SHOWERS ON TAP. SO DEFINITELY AGAIN, GOOD NEWS. WE NEED SOME OF THAT. WE NEED SOME OF THAT RAIN ACROSS THE AREA. NOW IN TERMS OF WEATHER AND HEALTH FOR THE DAY TOMORROW, MODERATE TREE POLLEN LEVELS. MOLD LEVELS ARE LOW, AIR QUALITY IS MODERATE AND A LOW UV INDEX HAVE ABOUT A 45 MINUTE BURN TIME. A few showers are possible throughout the day, especially west of the Susquehanna River.
