Multipurpose courts for pickleball and basketball constructed next to the pool complex are nearing full completion. And Nay Aug Park\u2019s pool drought will end this year with the opening of a new \u201cactivity pool\u201d that had construction completed last fall. With a walk-in beach entry, in-water seating and circular slide, the activity pool will have its inaugural summer season this year. \u201cWe are almost ready for showtime\u201d with Nay Aug Park\u2019s new attractions, Scranton Mayor Paige Gebhardt Cognetti said during an annual State of the City address held Wednesday at the University of Scranton. \u201cIt\u2019s very exciting, with the multipurpose courts, with the pool complex, the Butterfly park.\u201d The Butterfly Playground accessible play space for children and adults with disabilities opened last year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Newly installed pickleball courts at Nay Aug Park in Scranton...\" class=\"size-article_inline\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/STT-L-NAYAUGPOOL-05.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Newly installed pickleball courts at Nay Aug Park in Scranton Thursday, April 23, 2026.
