PALMER TWP., Pa. – A former furniture store in Palmer Township has been sold and will be converted into an auto repair shop.<\/p>\n
According to Northampton County property records, an LLC connected to the commercial real estate firm Oldacre McDonald purchased the site at 2499 Northampton Street for $1.85 million.<\/p>\n
The sale was recorded on April 13.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Oldacre McDonald is based in Tennessee and, according to its website, has developed more than 570 projects in 28 states, specializing\u00a0in shopping centers, build-to-suit retail, restaurants and residential.<\/p>\n
The property on Northampton Street, which is south of the 25th Street Shopping Center and adjacent to an existing AutoZone, most recently was a Just Furniture store.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
A Dollar Tree also previously occupied the site.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Craig Beavers, Palmer Township’s planning director, told 69 News the next tenant will be Caliber Collision.<\/p>\n
The project has already received township approval and is moving into the permitting process. There’s no timeline for when renovations will be complete.<\/p>\n
Caliber specializes in auto collision and glass repairs.
