It\u2019s no secret that the Pittsburgh Steelers are in the market<\/a> for a wide receiver ahead of the Nov. 4 NFL trade deadline.<\/p>\n

Following their second straight loss in Week 8 on \u201cSunday Night Football\u201d vs. the Green Bay Packers, the Steelers are no longer the favorites<\/a> in the AFC North, at least according to FanDuel odds.<\/p>\n

With the league-best Indianapolis Colts on deck in Week 9, Pittsburgh is looking to improve its roster<\/a> any way they can.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, ESPN\u2019s Jeremy Fowler and Matt Bowen ranked the \u201ctop 25 players who could move<\/a>\u201d before the trade deadline and linked the Steelers to a trio of star pass-catchers \u2014 wide receivers Chris Olave, Jakobi Meyers and Jaylen Waddle of the New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders and Miami Dolphins, respectively.<\/p>\n

Notably, however, the insiders only give Waddle a 10% chance of being traded, Meyers a 35% chance and Olave a 20% chance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a similar situation to (Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher Trey) Hendrickson: The team does not plan to trade the player, but interest is there,\u201d Fowler said of Waddle. \u201cWhile Miami could be tempted to trade players due to its 1-6 record, Waddle is a building block on offense, and he\u2019s due $36.1 million in cash over 2025-26 \u2014 reasonable for a high-end receiver these days. Multiple league execs expect the Dolphins\u2019 no-trade stance to stand, barring a surprise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fowler added on Meyers that while the 28-year-old is \u201cdrawing interest at an ideal time for a Raiders team in transition,\u201d there\u2019s \u201cno consensus leaguewide on exactly what Las Vegas will do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMultiple execs told me they believe the team is open to a deal but is not actively looking for trade partners.\u201d he wrote. \u201cAnother, however, believes the Raiders would prefer to wait until after the season to make any sweeping changes, due in part to the presence of Pete Carroll. The type of offers that roll in over the next two weeks could determine the course of action here.\u201d<\/p>\n

After being limited to eight games last season, Olave has suited up in each of the Saints\u2019 first eight contests this season and is on pace for career highs in targets, receptions and receiving touchdowns.<\/p>\n

\u201cOlave has moved past the\u00a0concussion issues, and he had two big-play touchdowns in\u00a0Week 7. He\u2019s making a case for a contract extension with New Orleans. And first-year coach Kellen Moore has an offensive background and needs all playmakers at his disposal. (If Olave stays put,\u00a0Rashid Shaheed\u00a0is another Saints player who could emerge as a target for receiver-needy teams,)\u201d Fowler wrote.<\/p>\n

Olave leads New Orleans this season in targets (83), receptions (52), receiving yards (503) and receiving touchdowns (three). He\u2019s second in the NFL<\/a> only behind Bengals superstar Ja\u2019Marr Chase in targets and is fourth in catches.<\/p>\n
