Bimbo Bakeries, based in Horsham, Pa., announced it will move its headquarters to Texas where the company started in 1998. <\/p>\n
Officials with the company said the strategic move positions the company for greater alignment and long-term growth across its U.S. operations. The company will move its corporate headquarters to Dallas, Texas, where it will be in closer proximity to Grupo Bimbo\u2019s global corporate office in Mexico City.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur commitment to baking and delivering the highest-quality, nutritious and delicious baked goods and snacks to our customers remains our top priority,\u201d Greg Koehrsen, Bimbo Bakeries\u2019 president said. \u201cRelocating our headquarters to Dallas positions us to operate more efficiently as we continue to invest in our brands and our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bimbo is the largest bakery company in the country, and Dallas is a significant market for the company, with multiple bakeries, sales centers and distribution facilities established across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The region also offers a strong business environment, the company said, as well as access to a diverse talent pool and infrastructure. <\/p>\n
\u201cTexas was our first home and played a defining role in our early history. We\u2019ve built a strong presence here over the years, and this region remains central to who we are today. We\u2019re looking forward to deepening those roots as we grow and continuing to support the communities that have supported us,\u201d Koehrsen said.<\/p>\n
The company began in Texas in 1998 when Grupo Bimbo purchased Mrs. Baird\u2019s Bakery. Today the company\u2019s senior leadership team and many other positions are already working in the new headquarters in Irving, Texas. <\/p>\n
