Several Allentown roads will close Sunday while thousands of people participate in the annual St. Luke\u2019s Half Marathon and 5K.<\/p>\n
The following streets will be closed between 7:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Linden Street (which becomes Parkway Boulevard) between 17th Street and Ott Street<\/p>\n
\u2022 Broadway between Ott Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard (closure from 8 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. for the 5K)<\/p>\n
\u2022 Ott Street between Broadway and Hamilton Boulevard (reopens at 9 a.m.)<\/p>\n
\u2022 Hamilton Boulevard between 21st and 22nd streets (rolling closures after 9 a.m.)<\/p>\n
\u2022 Yocco Drive<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0 Reading Drive\/Walnut Street between Yocco Drive and St. Elmo Street<\/p>\n
\u2022 South St. Elmo Street<\/p>\n
\u2022 Union Street at the St. Elmo Street intersection<\/p>\n
\u2022 Lehigh Parkway East between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Lehigh Parkway North, and Lehigh Parkway North at the entrance to the Lehigh Parkway trail<\/p>\n
\u2022 Park Drive in the Lehigh Parkway<\/p>\n
\u2022 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between St. Elmo Street and South Third Street, and the roads that intersect with Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, which includes the ramps to 15th Street, South 10th Street, Lehigh Street and West Union Street.<\/p>\n
Detours will be posted, and police will be directing traffic during the event, according to St. Luke\u2019s. Both events total about 2,000 entrants.<\/p>\n
