(WHTM) \u2014 The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA)<\/a> announced that chocolate candies that were sold in dozens of states, including Pennsylvania, have been recalled.<\/p>\n

According to the FDA, French Broad Chocolate PBC has recalled its Bette\u2019s Bake Sale Bonbon Collection in 6pc, 12pc, and 24pc boxes with batch numbers 260414 and 260417, because the products have the potential to contain undeclared walnuts.<\/p>\n

The FDA reports that on April 20, 2026, the firm was notified by a French Broad Chocolates team member that there was a labeling error on the tasting notes insert of the packaging, which failed to name a tree nut allergen.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the Walnut Fudge Bonbon, which contains walnuts, is incorrectly identified in the printed tasting notes, having been accidentally switched with the Peach Cobbler Bonbon notes.<\/p>\n

To date, there have been no reported illnesses.<\/p>\n

The FDA says these recalled candies were distributed between April 14 and April 20, 2026, and were sold in French Broad Chocolates retail stores in Asheville, North Carolina, and online to the following states and Washington, D.C.:<\/p>\n

AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI & WV.<\/p>\n

Moving forward, consumers with a tree nut allergy who purchased the recalled products are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund, or you can discard the product.<\/p>\n
