READING, Pa.- A hometown star on the biggest stage. Fans coming into FirstEnergy Stadium, where it\u2019s all about Nick Singleton.<\/p>\n
The Shillington native and Penn State standout is now waiting to hear his name called in the NFL Draft. And in Reading, they\u2019re celebrating in a big way.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a Nick Singleton hometown hero bobblehead giveaway for the first 2,000 kids through the gates tonight, a bit of a draft celebration, celebrating Singleton who is a hometown kid,\u201d said Jake Starr, R-Phils director of media relations.<\/p>\n
A bobblehead giveaway, an NFL Draft watch party, and a chance for fans to be part of the moment. Nick\u2019s connection to this stadium goes back years.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe actually played on the field here in a high school football game, and then we had him back a couple of times, so we have a really good relationship with him,\u201d Starr said.<\/p>\n
From Governor Mifflin to Penn State, where he became one of the program\u2019s top running backs, now on the verge of the NFL.<\/p>\n
