LOWER MORELAND \u2014 The search for a missing peacock in Lower Moreland Township entered its third day as authorities enlisted area residents to alert them to any sightings.<\/p>\n
Officers initially \u201cresponded to the report of a loose peacock\u201d in a residential area near the intersection of Frederick and Robert roads; however, police said Thursday that \u201cthe peacock could not be captured.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cLMPD consulted with wildlife experts, who concluded that the peacock may roam the area, as they believe the peacock will return back to its home. Should any resident see the Peacock, please do not attempt to capture as it can\/may become aggressive during this time of the year,\u201d police said in an April 2 statement.<\/p>\n
The suburban law enforcement agency \u201cwill be monitoring the situation.\u201d A spokesperson encouraged anyone with knowledge of the peacock\u2019s owner to contact the department so officers \u201ccan help reunite them [with] their pet.\u201d<\/p>\n
