Police are investigating after they said a infant was found dead inside an apartment in Philadelphia’s Northern Liberties neighborhood. <\/p>\n
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, around 12:52 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, officers responded to an apartment on the 1100 block of North American Street. <\/p>\n
When officers got to the residence, police said they found an unresponsive baby girl inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene by medics at 1:08 p.m. <\/p>\n
Police said preliminary information suggests the infant may have sustained puncture wounds; however, the official cause of death is pending a formal examination by the Medical Examiner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
