The Erie Humane Society showcased their rescues for a glamorous night at the Bayfront Convention Center on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The 6th annual Mutt Gala celebrated the Erie Humane Society\u2019s rescues in a fabulous way.<\/p>\n
The evening featured dinner, a doggy fashion show and plenty of opportunities for a fun night with furry friends.<\/p>\n
It was themed \u201cThe Art of Rescue,\u201d with dozens of art pieces created by shelter animals on display throughout the venue.<\/p>\n
Many sponsors made the night possible, including our very own JET 24\/FOX 66 team.<\/p>\n
Erie Humane Society Executive Director Joe Lang said the spotlight should always be on our shelter animals to help reach their goal of adoption.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo we try and show people all the different scenarios that we have to deal with, with all the dogs that come in. So each dog has a different story, whether it\u2019s medical, cruelty, abandoned, so each dog has a story, and that\u2019s what we\u2019re highlighting tonight,\u201d said Lang.<\/p>\n
The Erie Humane Society is always accepting donations to help continue their mission.<\/p>\n
