A market in the Pittsburgh-area is under Consumer Alert after an inspection by the Allegheny County Health Department.<\/p>\n
The CK Market Sharpsburg on North Main Street in Sharpsburg had 11 violations after an inspection on Monday, including two considered \u201chigh-risk\u201d.<\/p>\n
Those high-risk violations are due to evidence of a rodent infestation throughout the store.<\/p>\n
Inspectors found containers of ramen noodles \u201cadulterated\u201d by rodents, \u201ctoo many to count\u201d rodent droppings inside the cabinet of a slush machine, in soda cabinet and under the bottom shelf of food shelves.<\/p>\n
Droppings were also found on cans of Spaghetti O\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Two dead rodents were found under the slush machine.<\/p>\n
Inspectors also found the outer door sweep on the storage room door was worn, allowing rodents to enter the facility.<\/p>\n
Inspectors say pest control must provide services once a week, all areas with rodent droppings must be disinfected, all food adulterated by rodents must be thrown away and more.<\/p>\n
The reason for the inspection is due to a change of ownership.<\/p>\n
The Health Department says the issues must be resolved or the store will be ordered to close. <\/p>\n
