High-speed chase ends in crash in Scranton<\/p>\n

LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 An incident that started in Carbondale led police on a high-speed chase down the Casey Highway that ended with a car crashing in Scranton.<\/p>\n

It all started around 1:00 p.m. in Carbondale near South Main Street and 7th Avenue.<\/p>\n

Mom threatens teen\u2019s life while pointing gun, police say <\/a><\/p>\n

28\/22 News captured video from the Casey Highway, where the suspect\u2019s car was seen speeding. Later, our crews were on scene where the same suspected vehicle crashed into a parked car on Taylor Avenue in Scranton.<\/p>\n

Information is limited at this time, and a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter was seen searching the area.<\/p>\n

Prescott Elementary has issued a notice to parents that students will be dismissed early due to the active police investigation. The Scranton District stated, \u201cthe building has been placed on secure. We will keep you updated as to when students will be dismissed. The bus is currently being held at John G. Whittier Elementary School.\u201d<\/p>\n
