Freda Genova, 102, passed away April 19, 2026, in her Reading residence.<\/p>\n
Her husband Frank Genova passed away on May 20, 2002.<\/p>\n
She was born in New London, Connecticut, a daughter of the late<\/p>\n
Albert Ferri and Nancy (Bernacchi) Spadafora.<\/p>\n
Freda was employed at the former Ciotti Markets, West Lawn and<\/p>\n
Mr. Food\/Getty Mart of Wyomissing before her retirement.<\/p>\n
She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.<\/p>\n
In her spare time, Freda enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and was<\/p>\n
well known for her excellent Pizzelle making skills.<\/p>\n
Freda is survived by a daughter, Patricia A., wife of John A. Beil of Muhlenberg Township.<\/p>\n
There are also many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
She was pre-deceased by two brothers; Joseph Ferri and Thomas Ferri and by<\/p>\n
two sisters; Maria Ferri and Josephine Rinker.<\/p>\n
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 24th at 10:00 AM<\/p>\n
in Holy Rosary Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading, PA 19602.<\/p>\n
Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may pay their condolences<\/p>\n
on Thursday, April 23rd from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gallman-Sonoski<\/p>\n
Funeral Home, 910 Chestnut St. Reading, PA 19602 and again on Friday<\/p>\n
from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions<\/p>\n
