David Price is entering Year 3 as Lake Erie head football coach, and every offseason \u2014 it can be argued \u2014 is more important than the previous.<\/p>\n
That means recruiting, recruiting and recruiting some more. That\u2019s the name of the game, especially at the lower divisions, where Name, Image and Licensing \u2014 aka NIL \u2014 isn\u2019t at the forefront like it is at the FBS level.<\/p>\n
With NIL in place and some players earning millions at FBS schools such as Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama and many others, the recruiting wars have taken on a new angle. That being should an FBS head coach recruit a high school quarterback or find one in the transfer portal?<\/p>\n
That question is likely making things much more difficult for high school QBs these days, and coaches at the lower divisions can reap the benefits.<\/p>\n
Enter Price and his staff at LEC, where the search for a QB has been ongoing since the head coach arrived in 2024.<\/p>\n
