PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) \u2014 A woman who was severely injured after being struck by a car on Broad Street last year has been identified.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia authorities said the woman was hit after walking into traffic on Broad Street near Wyoming avenue on May 18, 2025. The driver did stop and did not face charges.<\/p>\n

Officials said the victim was found without identification, only a receipt from Acme. in a coma for a while, but is now responsive, though still unable to communicate.<\/p>\n

“She lost her leg; it had to be amputated,” said Bill Fleisher, an investigator with the Keystone Intelligence Network, earlier this month<\/a>, “and the fact that she is not moving around, there may be some swelling in her facial features that haven\u2019t subsided.”<\/p>\n

The woman is from the South Jersey area.
