{"id":179224,"date":"2026-04-29T12:56:20","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T12:56:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/179224\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T12:56:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T12:56:20","slug":"woman-listens-to-late-twin-sisters-heartbeat-through-donor-recipient","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/179224\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman listens to late twin sister&#8217;s heartbeat through donor recipient"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BALTIMORE \u2014 One local woman was able to reunite with her late identical twin sister.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting wasn&#8217;t ordinary, but certainly a healing one.<\/p>\n<p>Five-years ago Alyssa Taylor Courtney tragically lost her twin Sacha.<\/p>\n<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1777467379_921_.png\" alt=\"Alyssa and Sacha\"  width=\"1260\" height=\"1180\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Alyssa Taylor Courtney<\/p>\n<p>        Alyssa (left) and Sacha (right) in 2018<\/p>\n<p>Sacha was an organ donor.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly Bowers, of Pennsylvania, was the recipient of Sacha&#8217;s heart.<\/p>\n<p>Over the weekend, Alyssa, a retired Baltimore City EMT, met Kelly for the first time during the Gift of Life Donor Program Dash in Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>Together they shared a moment neither will ever forget.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Listening to my identical twins heart beat for the FIRST TIME after 5 years of being inside this beautiful woman named Kelly,&#8221; Alyssa posted on Facebook. &#8220;Sacha Taylor is gone, but part is her still lives on, still giving life.
