NEWTOWN TWP., Pa. – A Warrington man is facing attempted homicide charges following a road rage-related shooting in Bucks County.<\/p>\n
41-year-old Christopher Corbi is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and related offenses.<\/p>\n
Around 6:30 p.m. yesterday, police responded to a reported shooting in the area of Newtown Bypass and Woodbourne Road.<\/p>\n
Police say two vehicles were traveling east on Newtown Bypass during the initial encounter, and then south onto Woodbourne Road.<\/p>\n
The female driver of one of the vehicles was transported for treatment of a gunshot wound to the wrist and is in stable condition, police say.<\/p>\n
Within minutes of the shooting, police say Corbi and his vehicle were located at Washington Crossing Road (Route 532) and Stoopville Road, where he was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
Investigators say a firearm was located and recovered and is currently being processed by the Newtown Township Police Criminal Investigation Division.<\/p>\n
Online court records list Corbi as in custody on $1,000,000 bail.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing.
