Quick is the station\u2019s student manager. Jim Riley, a longtime local broadcaster, is the general manager. Juliana Kelly \u201928, an advertising\/public relations\/social media major from Havertown, is the music director.<\/p>\n
Kelly, who worked in Haverford High School\u2019s radio program, said the opportunity to participate with WUSR was one of the reasons she came to Scranton.<\/p>\n
The experience has been everything she\u2019d hoped it to be.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s definitely allowed me to expand creatively,\u201d Kelly said. \u201cI feel like I\u2019ve been able to grow throughout this. It\u2019s also a great lesson that you\u2019re not always going to be perfect. I\u2019ve definitely learned to work through some issues.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kelly gives advice and plays music on her show, \u201cRadio: Jules\u2019 Version,\u201d from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n
Kelly, Quick and Fahey, whose show airs at 5 p.m. Friday, are three of the 20-plus WUSR student DJs. Numerous others work behind the scenes.<\/p>\n
\u201cI find it very fun,\u201d Kelly said. \u201cI look forward to this every week.\u201d<\/p>\n
