This annual observance is led by the American Water Works Association from May 3 until May 9.<\/p>\n<p>This effort aims to highlight the importance of safe drinking water and the efforts of water professionals who keep the water flowing in Erie.<\/p>\n<p>On May 7 a special event will be hosted to celebrate the completion of the Asbury Tanks Pump Station was a $5 million investment for the region\u2019s water system.<\/p>\n<p>The public is welcome to attend the first ever Drinking Water Festival from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on May 9 at the Richard S. Wasielewski Water Treatment Plant on Sommerheim Drive.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees will receive a behind the scenes look of the Erie Water Works water treatment plant and activities will be provided.
