He will begin serving in this role effective May 4 after the retirement of John Oliver.<\/p>\n<p>Previously Jeanneret had served as the executive director of the Erie Sports Commission and the organization was recognized by Sports ETA for sport tourism in the U.S. earning the 2023 Sports Commission of the Year and Event Marketing Campaign of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>His work at the Erie Sports Commission yielded more than 675 events which generated $120 million in estimated economic impact.<\/p>\n<p>VisitErie will evaluate Jeanneret following a 90-day review period.
