Allegheny County property records indicate an LLC associated with Namdar Realty Group purchased the Macy\u2019s building in January for $2 million. Namdar owns the Pittsburgh Mills and has been quietly looking for a buyer, according to an email sent to local realtors last year. \u201cI believe the land itself could be utilized for housing. Also, I think what they call a retail demand gap analysis should be done on the area to see what people want dollar-wise and what\u2019s being spent,\u201d said Marvin Birner, a commercial real estate agent for Coldwell Banker.Birner said he is concerned that Namdar\u2019s recent legal troubles could impact a potential sale in the future. Bill Payne, a Frazer Township building code official, told Pittsburgh\u2019s Action News 4 that the mall owner has been hit with 32 citations related to the potholes around the property. He said a court hearing was rescheduled for May 4 since a Namdar representative did not attend a hearing in April. While shoppers are left wondering what\u2019s next for the mall, some agree that the road conditions need to take precedence. \u201cMy first suggestion would be, before they get anybody in the mall to improve anything, improve the roads first. That might help eventually bring some people back,\u201d Jack said. Pittsburgh\u2019s Action News 4 reached out to a Namdar representative but was still waiting to hear back.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
