West Scranton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Delaware Valley on Tuesday. The Invaders put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 12-2 victory. The Invaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Kaleiah Connor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn’t allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn’t given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI. That’s the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, West Scranton let Sophia Deluca and Mia Tallo run wild. Deluca went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Tallo got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That’s the most RBI Deluca has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenna Brudnicki, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

West Scranton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The win was the fourth in a row for West Scranton, bringing their record up to 8-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Delaware Valley, they have been struggling recently as they’ve lost six of their last seven games. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

West Scranton will face off against North Pocono at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans’ pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Invaders’ hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Delaware Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Western Wayne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they’ve allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
