POCONO TWP., Pa. \u2013 Just in time for warmer weather, a new eatery will soon offer a \u201cdelicious and nutritious\u201d taste of the tropics.<\/p>\n
A new location of Tiki Bowls, offering a variety of fruit bowls, smoothies, juices and more, is tentatively set to open on Friday, May 8, at the Pocono Premium Outlets in Pocono Township, franchisee Tony DiGiovanni told 69 News.<\/p>\n

A new Tiki Bowls location is coming soon to the Pocono Premium Outlets in Pocono Township.<\/p>\n

The new eatery will operate next to Old Navy at the outlets, located at 1000 Premium Outlets in Tannersville.<\/p>\n
It will be DiGiovanni\u2019s second Tiki Bowls location, supplementing a shop that opened in January 2025 at 840 W. Hamilton St., on the ground floor of the Butz Corporate Center, in downtown Allentown.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe community has embraced us,\u201d DiGiovanni said in regard to the Allentown location. \u201cWe have a ton of regular customers, and we get new customers every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tiki Bowls was founded eight years ago in New Jersey by father-and-son firefighters, DiGiovanni said.<\/p>\n
The business\u2019 first shop opened in Nutley, New Jersey.<\/p>\n
DiGiovanni, who resides in the Poconos, is Tiki Bowls\u2019 first franchisee and is looking to expand the business\u2019 footprint with three additional Pennsylvania locations following the Pocono Township shop\u2019s opening.<\/p>\n
He also plans to debut a Tiki Bowls food truck in early 2027.<\/p>\n
DiGiovanni is excited to serve more people at additional locations, including his home community in the Poconos.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t wait,\u201d DiGiovanni said in regard to Tiki Bowls\u2019 expansion in the Poconos.<\/p>\n
\u201cI live in the Poconos, and the outlets is a huge tourist destination. There\u2019s also a lot of theme parks and resorts nearby, like Great Wolf Lodge, Kalahari and Camelbeach. So, there\u2019s a lot of opportunity here, and the team at the outlets actually reached out to me because they were wanting to bring in healthier options and saw us as a good fit.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tiki Bowls offers around two dozen bowls, including acai selections such as the Sunset (topped with banana, strawberry, granola, coconut shavings and Nutella), coconut varieties such as the Coco Beach (topped with banana, strawberry, pineapple, granola, coconut shavings and honey), pitaya options such as the Hawaiian (topped with kiwi, pineapple, granola, coconut shavings and honey) and kale bowls such as the Kale Me Krazy (with banana, granola, peanut butter and chocolate or vanilla protein).<\/p>\n
Popular varieties include the Aloha Bowl (blended acai topped with strawberry, blueberry, granola, coconut shavings and honey) and Coco Nutella Bowl (blended coconut topped with banana, strawberry, granola, cacao nibs, coconut shavings and Nutella), DiGiovani said.<\/p>\n
There are also seasonal varieties such as the Pumpkin Bowl (mix of limited pumpkin base with pumpkin flax granola, bananas, green apple, peanut butter, Nutella and topped off with cacao nibs).<\/p>\n
A family member introduced DiGiovanni to acai bowls several years ago, and he has been a fan ever since.<\/p>\n
Tiki Bowls also offers nearly a dozen smoothie selections, including the Mermaid (banana, strawberry, blueberry, honey and milk), High Tide (pineapple, mango, banana, agave, cannabis oil and spirulina) and Hot Coco (banana, cacao powder, Nutella and whipped cream).<\/p>\n

Other menu highlights include banana ice cream, oatmeal bowls, power balls (oats, peanut butter, honey, chocolate chips and M&M\u2019s) and fresh juices such as the Belmar (cucumber, carrot, and lemon) and Seaside (apple, orange, beets and lemon).<\/p>\n
Tiki Bowls\u2019 Allentown location operates 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and the Pocono Township location will have the following hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays, DiGiovanni said.<\/p>\n
Both locations feature indoor seating and vibrant atmospheres, with bright blue walls and tables made out of surfboards.<\/p>\n
