In Erie County ECGRA \u2014 the County Gaming Revenue Authority \u2014 made another investment in the region.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s a new Main Street Impact Fund loan designed to help support local businesses.<\/p>\n
For one longtime Erie manufacturer, that support is coming in the form of a new machine \u2014 and the possibility of new jobs.<\/p>\n
EFI Connection, a manufacturer located in downtown Erie, is taking a major step forward. The company secured a $50,000 loan through the Erie County Redevelopment Authority\u2019s Main Street Impact Fund, backed by the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority.<\/p>\n
The funding is helping the company purchase a new wire\u2011processing system that will expand production capacity and create new jobs.<\/p>\n
\u201cPurchasing a big piece of equipment often requires some sort of financing, so this was a great way to get a low\u2011interest loan that helps support the production needs of the business.\u201d Mike Noonan, CEO, EFI Connection shared.<\/p>\n
The loan is helping the company invest in equipment that strengthens local manufacturing. Support like this keeps production \u2014 and jobs \u2014 right here in Erie, driving the local economy.<\/p>\n
\u201cHistorically, this has been one of our largest sectors. It puts us on the map in metal fabrication, plastics, and other types of manufacturing, so we need to continue to support that industrial\u2011based economy.\u201d Perry Wood, The Executive Director, ECGRA explained.<\/p>\n
