{"id":182054,"date":"2026-05-02T09:42:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-02T09:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/182054\/"},"modified":"2026-05-02T09:42:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-02T09:42:08","slug":"pnk-group-acquires-reading-site-for-220000-square-foot-facility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/182054\/","title":{"rendered":"PNK Group Acquires Reading Site for 220,000-Square-Foot Facility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>READING, PA \u2014 Industrial developer PNK Group recently acquired a 24-acre site in Reading, Berks County, and plans to build a 220,000-square-foot industrial facility, expanding its presence in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p>The project, known as PNK Reading at Route 222, is expected to begin construction in the second quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The site is located along Route 222 with access to Interstate 76 and Interstate 78, providing connections for regional and Northeast distribution operations.<\/p>\n<p>The area includes existing industrial users such as Amazon, FedEx, Kimberly-Clark, East Penn Manufacturing, Ashley Furniture Industries, Alpek Polyester, S&amp;S Activewear and Sherwood Bedding.<\/p>\n<p>The site is also near Norfolk Southern and CSX intermodal terminals, as well as a nearby FedEx logistics hub and a UPS facility within approximately one hour.<\/p>\n<p>Berks County has a history as a manufacturing center and offers a large labor pool, according to the company.<\/p>\n<p>PNK Group uses a construction method based on prefabricated structural components produced at its facilities in Georgia and Pennsylvania to assemble industrial buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Support the local news that supports Chester County.
