TODAY, MEADOWCROFT IS THE OLDEST SITE OF HUMAN HABITATION IN NORTH AMERICA, AND IT\u2019S ONLY ABOUT AN HOUR\u2019S DRIVE FROM PITTSBURGH. THE ROCK SHELTER AT THE SITE CONTAINS EVIDENCE OF HUMAN EXISTENCE. MORE THAN 19,000 YEARS AGO, AND RECREATED VILLAGES AT THE SITE SHOW WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE IN THE 16TH, 18TH AND 19TH CENTURIES.
