An illegal Israeli colonizer attempted to ram a Palestinian woman on Monday morning in the village of Al\u2011Maniya, southeast of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, as she was crossing the main road in the village.<\/p>\n
The woman narrowly escaped injury, while the colonizer fled the scene immediately after the attempted attack.<\/p>\n
A surveillance video shows the colonizer driving a four\u2011wheel vehicle and accelerating toward the woman before swerving in a clear attempt to strike her.<\/p>\n
The incident comes amid a sharp escalation in colonizer and Israeli military violations across the area, particularly in the villages southeast of Bethlehem, including Kisan, where recent attacks have targeted Palestinian homes and included the pursuit of shepherds in open fields.<\/p>\n

They also constitute war crimes under\u00a0International Law<\/a>.<\/p>\n Article 33<\/a>\u00a0of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective punishment and acts of terror against civilian populations.<\/p>\n Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention<\/a>\u00a0states: \u201cThe Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.\u201d It also prohibits the \u201cindividual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory\u201d.<\/p>\n Articles\u00a053\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0147<\/a>, prohibit the destruction of civilian property and classify pillage as a war crime.<\/p>\n
