A Pittsburgh-area bar and restaurant was hit with 10 violations during a recent inspection by state health officials.<\/p>\n
The Department of Agriculture\u2019s Bureau of Food Safety has ruled Kellie\u2019s Creekside Bar & Grill \u201cout of compliance\u201d after an inspection on Friday.<\/p>\n
Some of the violations include food debris observed in areas like the mounted fry cutter, table mounted can opener and deli slicer.<\/p>\n
\u201cBlack and pink organic matter\u201d was found around an ice machine at the bar with \u201cvisible debris inside of the dispenser spigots of the slushie machine.\u201d<\/p>\n
A dead roach and dead wasp were found inside a popcorn machine.<\/p>\n
Several items were found without date marks.<\/p>\n
Several cleaning items were found stored above or on the same shelf with food or equipment.<\/p>\n
The front door of the restaurant was found in disrepair with a gap between door and a gap on the bottom of the back door which can lead to rodents, pests and other critters getting in the facility.<\/p>\n
The facility also lost its certified food safety employee over three months ago and continues to operate without one.<\/p>\n
Some of the violations need to be corrected by May 11, others by June 1.<\/p>\n
