The newly refurbished and refreshed Market Square in Downtown Pittsburgh has some new policies in place as well. <\/p>\n
The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and the City of Pittsburgh has implemented a temporary restriction that requires anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by someone over 21 years of age in Market Square during certain hours.<\/p>\n
For now, that policy is in effect from Thursday through Sunday from 3pm to midnight. <\/p>\n
There isn’t a timetable for how long this policy will be in place. <\/p>\n
Crowds of juveniles have blocked traffic and caused issues for businesses and their patrons. <\/p>\n
As far as enforcement, the city says private security will be positioned at six intersections surrounding Market Square and will work with Pittsburgh Police. <\/p>\n
