The expansion puts Breeze up to 18 nonstop routes from Pittsburgh, second only to Southwest Airlines\u2019 21 destinations for the most served at PIT. Since entering the Pittsburgh market five years ago with four initial markets, the airline has capitalized on Pittsburgh by successfully expanding into underserved markets with its \u201cpoint-to-point\u201d network structure with fuel-efficient Airbus A220 aircraft, offering an elevated onboard experience and affordable fares.<\/p>\n

Cancun and Punta Cana are Breeze\u2019s first international routes to join its Pittsburgh network. The carrier began international flights in January 2026 shortly after gaining flag carrier status from the FAA, granting Breeze the necessary certification for operating routes outside the U.S.<\/p>\n
To Cancun, Breeze joins existing scheduled service offered by American Airlines and Southwest seasonally, and charter service by Apple Vacations and Vacation Express. To Punta Cana, Breeze also joins American\u2019s scheduled service, launched in December 2025, and charter service on Apple Vacations and Vacation Express.<\/p>\n
Breeze\u2019s three times weekly schedule expands PIT\u2019s nonstop service to Cancun and Punta Cana, offering increased capacity and significantly more schedule flexibility for travelers.<\/p>\n

Vero Beach is a new market added to PIT\u2019s route map, becoming the airport\u2019s 65th nonstop destination. It is the third new market added from PIT this year, joining Breeze\u2019s new service to Louisville and the airport\u2019s highly anticipated Dublin service on Aer Lingus launching May 25.<\/p>\n
