The annual event is hosted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/discovernepa.com\/cause\/lackawanna-river-conservation-association\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lackawanna River Conservation Association<\/a>. Paddlers launched from <a href=\"https:\/\/discovernepa.com\/listing\/dickson-city-riverfront-park\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Riverfront Park<\/a> in Dickson City. They traveled downstream along the Lackawanna River to <a href=\"https:\/\/discovernepa.com\/listing\/sweeneys-beach\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sweeney\u2019s Beach<\/a> in Scranton. The route highlighted a scenic and accessible stretch of the river.<\/p>\n<p class=\"nitro-lazy\">RiverFest offered an ideal way to welcome spring along the Lackawanna River. Mild temperatures and fresh greenery created a peaceful setting. Wildlife activity added movement and sound throughout the day. Kayaks and canoes moved steadily through the water. Participants enjoyed the natural beauty of the Lackawanna River corridor.<\/p>\n<p>After the paddle, RiverFest continued at Parker Street Landing. The community gathered along the Lackawanna River for a relaxed afternoon. Food vendors and live music added to the atmosphere. Educational exhibits highlighted conservation efforts.
