PITTBURGH \u2014 Verizon says engineers have resolved an outage that impacted the Pittsburgh region. <\/p>\n
A spokesperson said the fiber cuts that impacted wireless service for some customers in Western Pennsylvania have been repaired. Service has been restored to all customers. <\/p>\n

Verizon is experiencing a widespread outage. <\/p>\n
According to Verizon\u2019s status map, data, voice, text and wireless home internet are limited throughout the WPXI viewing area. The website says it\u2019s a \u201cknown issue\u201d and Verizon is working on a solution. <\/p>\n
In an email to Channel 11, Verizon said fiber cuts in the region are preventing some wireless customers from connecting to the network. Engineers are working on solving the issue. <\/p>\n
Verizon says restarting devices will not help, and instead will \u201ccomplicate the situation.\u201d <\/p>\n
DownDetector<\/a> shows that issues with Verizon service are being reported across the East Coast, into the southern United States and even in Seattle. <\/p>\n Channel 11 viewers report their phones going into SOS mode, along with other connectivity issues. <\/p>\n Verizon users can make calls over Wi-Fi, even without cell service.
